Our Program
We utilize a level
system and daily point chart to help improve the adolescent’s
behaviors. We teach our boys respect; respect for themselves,
their community, their parents, police and public officials,
adults and their peers.
Education is a very important part of our program.
Residents will either attend public junior high or high school
or work towards their GED while in our program. Residents have
the opportunity to obtain a job and learn important life skills
by being a member of the work force. We also transition
residents into college or vocational school when their time for
independence has come.
Opportunities exist for extracurricular activities and
involvement within the community. The global goal of our
program is to break the cycle of behaviors, dependence and
systems that resulted in the resident’s original introduction
into the child welfare system.
